Origamee

Frequently asked questionsQuick guide to frequently asked questions

For businesses · What you need to know before deciding

What is Origamee and which processes can I digitalise with it?

Origamee is a cloud platform that digitalises your company's processes in one place: time tracking and clock-in, holidays and absences, shift planning, maintenance with work reports and checklists, a whistleblowing channel and tailor-made solutions for any other process.

Everything is connected, so you stop cross-checking spreadsheets, emails and paper.

Does it adapt to the way my company works?

Yes. We don't ask you to change the way you work: we analyse your operations, spot what holds you back and adapt Origamee to your processes, with custom developments and integrations if you need them.

That is what companies such as Serveo, Bondalti, Astander, MasOrange and Siemens Gamesa have done.

How long does it take to get up and running?

What takes others months takes weeks with Origamee. We start from a platform that is already built and only adapt what your company needs, so you are in control of your operations as soon as possible.

How does pricing work?

You pay for value: your fee matches the solution you actually use, with no extras you don't need. And you can add more processes as your company grows.

To find out the price for your case, request a demo and we will prepare a proposal for you.

Does it integrate with the systems I already use?

Yes. Origamee connects to your systems to centralise information and break down silos: for example with your ERP, with Power BI for analytics or with SharePoint, as in the Astander, Bondalti and Siemens Gamesa projects.

Where and on which devices can it be used?

Anywhere and on any device: computer, phone or tablet. It is a cloud solution, so your team works the same way in the office, on site or at a client's premises.

How does it help me make decisions?

Everything recorded in Origamee becomes information: real-time analytics and automatic reports showing what works, where hours are lost and what needs fixing.

What is Company Brain?

It is a way of using Origamee from the AI chat your team already uses. Your employees describe what they have done, as they would to a colleague, and the AI agent turns it into structured, validated data in Origamee, always within your rules and permissions.

What support and updates are included?

You get dedicated support and the platform keeps improving: we add features and refinements without you having to install anything.

For administrators · Manage your team with full control

How do I add a new employee?

First create them on the web platform, then register them on the physical terminal if that is the clock-in method. The order matters: if you go to the terminal first, the device won't find them.

Do it before their first day so they can clock in from the start without problems.

An employee is leaving the company. What do I do with their account?

Deactivate it. There's no need to delete it: deactivating frees up the licence for someone else, while the clock-in history is kept in case you need it later.

How do I validate or fix a clock-in an employee has reported as wrong?

The employee can send a correction from their account. You get a notification to review it and, if it's correct, approve it with one click. Everything is recorded and traceable.

Can I export an hours report to send to my payroll advisor?

Yes, at any time. Filter by employee, team or dates and export to Excel or CSV. The file is ready to use, with no need for touch-ups.

The office terminal shows as disconnected. What should I do?

The device itself shows whether there is a connection problem. In most cases, a network restart from the terminal menu fixes it in under a minute.

If that does not fix it, call technical support and they will guide you straight away.

How do I know remote employees clock in from the right place?

By setting up the permitted geolocation area. If the employee is outside that zone when trying to clock in, the system rejects it automatically.

What if I need to reassign one employee's access card to another?

Yes. Before giving it to the new employee, you must unlink it from the previous profile and format it from the terminal. Otherwise, the new employee could clock in under the previous person's identity.

For employees · Record your working day without hassle

I've clocked in, but the button has disappeared. Is that normal?

Yes, that's right. Once you start your working day, the system hides the clock-in button so you can't clock in twice by mistake. You'll only see the break and clock-out options until you finish for the day.

I forgot to clock out yesterday. How do I fix it?

Go to “My clock-ins”, tap “Add clock-in” and enter your actual clock-out time. Your manager will receive and review the request and, once approved, your working day will be corrected. No need to call anyone.

The sooner you do it, the better. That way nothing piles up.

I work away from the office. Can I clock in from my phone?

Yes. With the Origamee app you can record your start and finish times from anywhere. However, the system checks that you are within the area defined by your company before accepting the clock-in. Make sure location permission is turned on on your phone; otherwise clock-in will not work.

I pressed the clock-out button several times. Was it saved correctly?

Don't worry. The system automatically blocks duplicate records for 5 minutes. Only the first one will have been saved. You can check it in your daily history.

How do I know if my manager has approved my correction?

You'll get an automatic notification once it's handled. You can also see the status in real time in “My clock-ins”: pending, approved or rejected.

The terminal doesn't recognise my card. What's wrong?

Most likely the card isn't properly linked to your profile. Tell your manager or the administrator: they can check it from the dashboard in a few minutes. It's not something you can fix yourself.
